• Nominations open – 1st June 2014

• Nominations close - 31st August

• Shortlisting commences - 22nd September 2014

• Finalists announced - 9th October 2014

• Winners announced at our Awards event on Saturday, 8th November 2014 at Birmingham NEC

 

Nominations Process

• By clicking on the “Nominate Now” link, you will be redirected to our dedicated nominations page.

• You can nominate your own work or the work of others.

• You may nominate in as many categories as you wish, offering an explanation or link to the work you believe is worthy of the accolade where you can.

• Once completed (and you have submitted your responses) they will be collated at Cake Masters Magazine Head Office.

 

Shortlisting

• Shortlisting will not be entirely dependent on volume of nominations for one person.

• Nominees may well be contacted for the shortlisting panel to view their work, if the nomination does not provide good enough information for evaluation.

• There will be 4 nominees shortlisted in each category (but this may be less depending on the quality of nominations received). It is at the judges’ discretion to increase or decrease the number of nominees shortlisted.

• Shortlisted finalists will be announced on Thursday 9th October 2014.

• Judges categories (Cake International) do not have a nomination process. Possible winners will be pre-notified in order to attend the event and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.

 

If you have been shortlisted…

• We will contact you to inform you of the next steps. 

• All shortlisted finalists will need to prepare their winning “speech” and be interviewed for the magazine spread. 

• If you are internationally based, you will be required to submit an acceptance video (details will be made available at shortlisting)

 

Judging

• Our panel of judges have been selected to provide a cross section of opinion and perspective from the cake community.

• Each category will be evaluated and discussed at length.

• The judge’s decision is final.

• All winners are announced at the awards ceremony on 8th November 2014
